Boating
Beginning in June, mooring small crafts are available to rent (weather permitting) at Hessian Lake and paddle boats and row boats can be rented at the boat house. Children under the age of 12 must be accompanied by an adult.

If you love to hike and/or bike, Bear Mountain State Park is your ideal spot. The Park boasts miles of marked trails through woodlands and most trails are open to mountain bikers. Whether you come in spring, summer or fall, you'll discover this is a very special place for bird watching, wildlife sightings, plant discoveries and star-gazing.
Scenic Drives
A scenic drive to the top of Bear Mountain leads you to the impressive Perkins Memorial Tower. The tower provides one of the best panoramic views of the Hudson River and an unobstructed 360° view south to New York City, east to Connecticut, north to Mount Beacon and west to the Shawangunks.
